And that's what that is all about. I know many photographers embellish what is there for the taking via LightRoom and PhotoShop - which is fine. But to me there is nothing like a natural (well as natural as can be seeing as many of us use digital) shot of something that is already there. I know at Gallery One in Grants Pass where I display and occasionally sell my framed prints, prints, and cards - are competing with those photographers that choose to modify the heck out of their prints to the point where they don't look real. But that is that. Give me a great color or black and white shot and I'm more than impressed! Whew!

As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Though most of my work comes from close to home I have also captured quite a few images in other parts of the US from my travels.
