About Christopher McKenzie
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Though most of my work comes from close to home I have also captured quite a few images in other parts of the US from my travels. This reminds me of the cigarette dispenser at Johnnies Coffee Shop in Hollywood, California back in 1964 when I was 12 years old. I use to go in there for coffee and toast in the morning for .15 cents before Junior High School. Great capture Christopher.

Thank you. There is probably a reason why it looks familiar...as I believe this used to actually be a cigarette machine that has been converted to dispense booklets now. The pull handles are a refreshing change from the 'push buttons' of today.
