Artist's Description
Well, this 'ol 1955 Chevy might not look like much but she has recently gone through a resurrection of sorts with a new bored out 396 big block race motor, dual quads and other vital mechanical preparations. All that is needed is some glass and wiring and she is going to be ready for the nostalgia drag races.
Captured in Strong City, Kansas along the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway.
About Christopher McKenzie
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Beautiful selective color and lighting Christopher! Love it!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thanks Ron. I was trying to convey the 'feeling' of actually being there...what with the warm light flooding out from the window and everything else with muted colors.
Joy McAdams

Outstanding use of reflective light, and selective color allowing the car to take center stage!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thank you Carol! Makes me feel like I am getting some of it right.
John Anderson
Great effect with the light glowing in the window, on the car, and the pavement.
Christopher McKenzie replied:
He had not turned on the parking lot lights yet so it was too good to pass up.
