Artist's Description
OK, there are likely a hundred thousand photos of the iconic J.C. Nichols fountain in Kansas City, Missouri...but this one was in captured the morning after last nights win of the 2015 ALDS by the Kansas City Royals. The fountain water has been turned blue in celebration of the teams success in the post season thus far. As they prepare for tomorrows start of the ALCS I hope this image pleases any potential viewers.
Little did we know at the time of this image that the Royals would go on to win the World Series not long after this!
About Christopher McKenzie
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Though most of my work comes from close to home I have also captured quite a few images in other parts of the US from my travels.
