I was attracted to this lonely little house I found on the wide open space of the Kansas Central Plains.
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Love this image, Christopher. I hear Kansas has a lot of places like this. The distant clouds melt into the prairie and that large dominant white cloud in that field of blue sky is a companion to that lonely structure. Nicely done! I have always wanted to explore the Flint Hills region. Is that where this was taken? L/F
