A somewhat apocalyptic view the world...created with images of the 'Spirit of Alaska' B-2 Stealth Bomber captured while coming in for a landing at Whiteman Airforce Base in Missouri and a unique horse sculpture (2008 by artist Guinotte Wise) from Olathe, Kansas.
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Andy Klamar
Splendid work.
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thanks, Andy...I appreciate it.
Ron Long
Really cool concept and composition Christopher!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thanks, Ron. In this case I think the sickly looking sky color helped create the impending mood.
Bob Christopher
Hi Christopher…I like your image. A beautiful set of subjects for this composite…Excellent work…Cheers Bob fv
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thank you, Bob.
Kay Brewer
Congratulations on tying for 2d in the Perception of the Future contest!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thank you, Kay. (And voters).
Mike Gifford
I like the composition and the overall look! The horse structure is awesome!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thanks, Mike. I played with the look of this for quite a while before I found the feeling I wanted. There are two (that I know of) of these full size, custom horse sculptures within 10 miles of my home...I will have to do some research into the artist's name and such as they are quite amazing in person.
Sennie Pierson
I think it's PERFECT!!
Sennie Pierson
This is AWESOME!!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thanks, Sennie. I was not sure if you would dig it. It does feel good to come up with something totally different than all the other thousands of images on here.
Marnie Patchett
AWESOME!
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Thanks, Marnie. I have had this horse photo for like 6 months but I was not sure that I could really use it...then I happened to be crossing Missouri when the B2 was coming in for a landing. The images just seemed to go together well.
Marie Neder
Yes. But some of us like creepy, but not too much, whatever "too much" means to you.
Marie Neder
Can you imagine!?
Christopher McKenzie replied:
Sorta creepy, huh?
