Description
The shell of an old Limestone farm house gives an view of the end of livelihood on the Kansas prairie. The wood roof at some point became separated by a windstorm and lies nearby. An abandoned Lutheran church and one room schoolhouse sit next to a hilltop cemetery in the background.
Update Sept 2023: Well, it has been 20 months or so since my last stop here and things have changed significantly. For some reason the entire homestead has been razed and is only now a memory. Plus, at some point the roof and about half of the walls of the old church have collapsed and the rest is barley still standing it seems. Although the adjacent wooden school house still appears fairly strong, there will no longer be any images captured like this one.
