This is an updated shot from a previous attempt by me through the window of the kitchen area of the Mertz family log cabin that was built around 1849. The cabin sits preserved at the period village in Faust Park in Chesterfield.
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously.
