This Ford GT was captured at the 2014 Goodguys Car Show in Des Moines, Iowa on July 6th. Ghost images are from actual GT40 race cars.
The Ford GT is an American mid-engine two-seater sports car that was produced by the Ford Motor Company in 2005 and 2006 model years.
The mid-mounted 5.4 L Modular V8 engine is all-aluminum with a Lysholm twin screw-type supercharger. Power output is 550 hp at 6500 rpm and generates 500 lb�ft of torque at 3750 rpm.
The designers drew inspiration from Ford's GT40 racing cars of the 1960s.
The Ford GT40 was a high performance sports car and winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans four times in a row, from 1966 to 1969 (in 1967 with a different body, though). It was built to win long-distance sports car races against Ferrari (who won at Le Mans six times in a row from 1960 to 1965). As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Though most of my work comes from close to home I have also captured quite a few images in other parts of the US from my travels.
