A modified image of Edward Hopper's 1942 oil painting 'Nighthawks'. Mostly I did this because I love Edward's work and I wanted to see if I could incorporate an item that looked like it was actually painted along with the rest of the piece.
Plus it ads the question as to if the astronaut is somehow from the future and curious about the past social intricacies.
As a child I received my love of art from my mother who I watched write poetry, paint with pastels and draw with pencils and charcoal. I followed her by painting with Acrylics and drawing some myself as I went through my teenage years, and I also had a couple of inspiring art teachers in middle school. As an adult I was able to afford a camera and I transitioned to photography. I am based in the Midwest, in a suburb of Kansas City, and although I capture time with my camera primarily as a hobby I take it very seriously. Though most of my work comes from close to home I have also captured quite a few images in other parts of the US from my travels.
