Description
An image from many years ago when I was experimenting with complementing colored lens filters (Red, Green & Blue) that rendered moving objects (like the sun or water) to be captured in one color only, while still objects (like trees) to be rendered in a near natural combined 'white' light.
For those of you to young to know how this worked In Camera before digital technology...you had to take a photo (underexposed) with one colored filter, trick the camera into thinking you had advanced the film (when you had not), screw on another filter and take a second underexposed photo on the same frame, trick the camera once again into thinking you had advanced to the next frame, screw on the third filter and take the last underexposed image. Then (since there was no playback feature on a film camera) you had to hope you did the exposures correctly and didn't upset the orientation of the camera in the process.
This series of three separate shots on one frame occurred in Lenexa, Kansas at Shawnee Lake.
It looks like something from another planet to me...
